
Due to a school-wide field trip on Friday, we will do our State send-off for our JH Cross Country Athletes tomorrow (Thursday) at 2:30pm at Aplington Middle School before they leave for practice. 
They will receive a police escort as they leave town to head down to Bloomington-Normal on Friday around 2:25pm.

Here are the brackets for the JH Rt 72 Conference Volleyball Tournament in Oregon tomorrow. Bus time for the athletes is 8:10am.



Our Homecoming Parade route is changing due to the closure of the nursing home. Attached is the new parade route. The parade will start at approximately 2pm on Friday afternoon, leaving from the high school and ending downtown. Email mwolber@poloschools.net with any questions regarding Homecoming details.


On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, the Polo Community Unit School District will spray the tennis courts at 7:00 a.m.   We will be spraying OFF! Ready to spray lawn and insect killer and repellent. 

Tonights high school football game against AFC will start at 8:00 PM. 
The game will be played at the football field in Franklin Grove. Turn South off of 38 onto Elm Street. Cross the train tracks, two blocks, turn left (east) onto E. South Street. Go straight through 2 stop signs and you will run right into the football field.

Attention JH Volleyball...tomorrow at Byron will be two games for each grade level. Both grades will start at 4pm at the Byron Middle School gym and the second game for each grade should start around 5pm.

On Monday, Centennial students celebrated International Dot Day, which is based on the book, The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Dot Day is a day to celebrate self-expression and encourages people to make their mark, no matter how small it may be. This collaborative bulletin board is located near the gym and allows our students to see the creativity of their peers!





We are now accepting nominations for Homecoming Prince and Princess (kids ages 4-6). The Homecoming game is Friday, October 3rd with the Grand March on Saturday, October 4th at 6pm. If you would like to nominate someone (with their guardian's permission), please email their name and age to ejoines@poloschools.net. Nominations are due Monday, September 22nd by 3pm.
