Monday August 7, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at the football field shed there will be registration for 7th and 8th grade students interested in playing Jr. Tackle Football. Attached is the registration form. If you cannot make it at this time please contact Coach Kurt Francis at 815-590-7865.


SVCC's Impact program is providing the first 200 scoops of ice cream tonight from Just 4 Fun Ice Cream at Shell from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Also, registration for the program closes September 1st, so please talk with their staff, if interested.

On Friday, August 4th, the Polo Community School District will be treating the grass around all buildings, the playground, and the football field.

Family Athletic Passes can be purchased online through e~Funds.
Log in and add the optional fee (Family Athletic Pass ~ $150)
This will be put on your students account and the High School Office will process the information.

7/27/23: Just a reminder - Sports phyiscals must be turned in prior to students starting practice for the upcoming sports season. If a student does not have one on file, they may not participate in practice or games until they do.

The Ogle County Health Department has an Immunization Clinic in Oregon on 8/2 and a School & Sports Physical Clinic in Rochelle on 8/10. Please see the pictures for more details.



The parent information meeting for the High School 2023-2024 athletic season will be Sunday, August 6th at 7:00 in the high school gym.

There are still some lockers left that were removed from the hallways of PCHS this summer. If you would be interested in owning a little piece of history for whatever reason, please phone the high school at 815-946-3314 before Friday, July 28th to make arrangements.
They will be gone by the 31st.

Mrs. Hopkins, Mrs. Johnstone, Mrs. Wilhelms, CPO representative Mrs. McBride, and student helpers Brianna Kuhn, Daniel Johnstone, and Martha Johnstone were hard at work this week painting and decorating the Centennial blacktop. They painted a map of the United States, a hopscotch path, crayons with the color names, and even the boundary poles!

While registering, you will need to upload a picture of your proof of residency. Skyward will accept only one picture. Please take one picture of both items together and submit that. Utility bills will need to be within the last month and the date will need to be visible in the picture.
Also while registering, please make sure you complete two google forms for each student. You will need to click on the link provided to fill them out. One will be called Authorization and the other will be Transportation.

The Polo Fire Department is looking for high school volunteers to participate in an emergency drill being held at the Polo Rehabilitation & Health Care Center on Saturday, July 15th. Participants will play the role of a Polo Rehab resident and will be evacuated to the high school by emergency personnel. The training will be held from 8am to no later than noon. Please email Mrs. Sanders at jsanders@poloschools.net if you would like to participate. Participants are asked to meet at the Polo Fire Station at 8am on Saturday. Donuts and juice will be provided.

These seven Sophomores spent a week as volunteer camp counselors for special needs campers at the White Pines Ranch in Oregon. They each earned 100 volunteer hours for their efforts!
