
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: There will be an opportunity to pick up some volunteer hours during Town & Country Days this summer. The dates are June 11 through June 19. Check in at the Festival Tent in the parking lot uptown. Get those hours done and turned in early so you don’t have to worry about it last minute.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
There is an awesome opportunity to clock some volunteer hours this summer. Kidz Café at Faith United Methodist Church in Polo is looking for volunteers. Beginning June 6th, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can assist other volunteers with providing lunches for the community of Polo from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Just show up and they will put you to work.


The Polo Board of Education Meeting has been moved to Monday, May 23rd, 2022 due to not having a quorum on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022. The meeting on Monday, May 23rd will be in the library at Polo Community Unit High School at 6:00pm.

2nd grade has been busy learning about the butterfly life cycle. They were able to watch them grow from larvae, to pupa, to butterfly before realizing them today. They invited kindergarten to join the release as they’ve been visiting the 2nd grade classroom to watch the changes.





Junior high track pizza party is tomorrow after school. Please return uniforms and have students bring in $3 to help cover the cost of the pizza.
Maxon's Riverboat Cruise field trip permission slips are due on Wednesday. An email was sent this afternoon to students and parents of those who still need to turn theirs in. A copy of the permission slip was included in the email in case one didn't make it home.

Polo HS Baseball and Softball games scheduled tonight 5/13 at Forreston has a TIME CHANGE to a 4:00 start time. Bus time is 2:40.

Tonight our third, fourth, and fifth grade students serenaded us at their Spring Concert.

On Friday we were able to celebrate these fine young students at the Illinois Principal Association awards brunch. We are so proud of these 5th, 8th, and high school seniors.


5/9/22: Today is the last day for junior high track practice. Tomorrow is the Route 72 Conference track meet in Oregon. The pizza party has been moved from Monday, May 16th to Tuesday, May 17th at 3:30. Please return track uniforms at that time.

Polo baseball game scheduled for tomorrow 5/7 location has been changed from Polo to West Carroll in Thompson. Game is at 11:00 am.
